We have two fully funded PhD positions available in the field of biomedical engineering (details below).

One entails a strong focus on immunology, biomaterial chemistry and label-free microscopy funded by Science Foundation Ireland which aims to engineer the next generation of biomedical implants based on delineating the interplay between cell mechanobiology, metabolism and function.
The second is centred on the rational design of biomaterial meshes ranging from laboratory evaluation, in silico modelling and effective experimental design using Bayesian Optimisation funded by the European Research Council.
